Harness Makers Workshop
The Victorian Saddler
I served my apprentership with Keith Luxford, saddlers to H.M. The Queen which included studying at the world famous Cordwainers Leather Collage in London. Over the years I have also written & illustrated 7 books on saddlery & harness. This, in addition to having been a horse & pony owner & competitor for nearly 50 years, has helped me design & make this range of made to measure harness, available to post world wide.
Being a keen carriage driver myself, I like to add an element of "design" into the harness that I make for customers. Sets are individually made to measure with every buckle & point of stress stitched by hand.
Whether for decorating a wall or a shire horse, my designer range of horse brass martingales will fit most needs inc. a special range designed especially for the yearly brasses of the National Horse Brass Society.

My farm bridles, plough back pads & flashings come in a choice of plain leather or red or yellow patent leather. I also recover farm collars & pads in traditional wool cloth.
